Physical Properties
Product Description
Kaolin has high thermal stability, withstanding significant temperatures without decomposition, which
makes it ideal for heat-resistant applications. When heated, kaolin transforms into metakaolin, an
amorphous aluminosilicate with improved pozzolanic activity, often used in concrete and ceramic
production. This thermal stability makes kaolin useful in industries where materials are exposed to high
heat, such as in refractory products, industrial ceramics, and high-temperature sealants. Its ability to
maintain structural integrity under heat is also critical in manufacturing and environmental
applications.
Britex-96 is a high brightness, ultra- fine particle size and narrow size distribution calcined kaolin,
having moderate oil absorbency, good matting effect, outstanding opacity and strong tinting strength. It
replaces titanium dioxide partially and reduce production cost. For solvent-based and water- based
coatings. Britex-96 provides excellent dispersion and suspension, which also could improve the storage
stability of surface coating.
